Yoga - Workout Tips

  • Never force or strain to get into a yoga pose. Don't worry if you can't stretch as far as is pictured here; the important thing is to focus on proper form and alignment and to keep your breathing long (that is, several seconds each on the inhale and exhale) and centered in your abdomen.

  • Monitor the quality of your thoughts. As your breathing slows and your muscles relax, your thoughts should become less chaotic.

  • Keep your spine, neck and waist elongated, and your chest high.

  • Remember this workout tips: Never stretch to the point of pain when practicing yoga.
