Self-awareness is a uniquely human characteristic. Make the best use of it. Achieving your goals requires you to focus your thoughts on your goals and objectives : - choose optimistic, energizing thoughts over those that are pessimistic and draining. Don't let yourself ruminate pointlessly about soreness, tiredness or hunger.

Focus your thoughts and attention on the bodybuilding gains you've made, not on frustration with slow growth. Particularly avoid dwelling on any barriers that may stand in your way of muscle gain or fat loss. Keep reminding yourself of the bodybuilding progress you've made, and consider the many possibilities for accelerating your muscle growth.

You do need to spend time thinking about areas of slow progress, but be sure to concentrate on solution-finding, not anger, self-punishment or complaints.
