Used the curved bar
when doing triceps muscle training because it puts your hands in a
neutral position that, according to some recent magnetic resonance
imaging studies, brings all three heads of the triceps muscle into play.
Pressdown movement is also great to do first as a warm-up before your
bodybuilding session starts.
We prefer a false
grip (thumbs on top of the bar) and we make a conscious effort to keep
the cable right in front of our face - no leaning into the bar. Keep the
upper arms by the body and extend and lock out at the bottom, really
squeezing the triceps muscle hard. Slowly raise the bar, but don't allow
your forearms to go much higher than parallel to the floor when doing
the pressdown exercise.
