How water
distillation works ?
Boils water
into vapor that separates the gas from most contaminants. Purified water
vapor is condensed by a cooling system, which returns it to a liquid
state. Water is ready for use.

and tastes, some bacteria, heavy metals such as lead, certain pesticides
and fungicides, nitrate, certain organic compounds, minerals like
magnesium and calcium.
Notes
Distillation
process takes time (a couple of hours for the first quart of water), and
is relatively greedy with electricity. Some brands are difficult to
clean and fill. Often combined with a carbon filter to catch volatile
organic compounds, which have lower boiling points than water.
