Exercise is good for us, say the health and fitness experts. Exercise helps tone the muscles, increases flexibility, and most importantly, exercise provides cardiovascular conditioning, lessening our chances for heart disease.

While mounting evidence continues to support the value of exercise for health promotion, growing scientific evidence also points to some potential problems.

The problems ? Exercise generates large numbers of free radicals - dangerous, highly reactive molecules that damage cells, promote aging and many diseases, including cancer and heart disease and hinder post exercise recovery. The more intensive your exercise, the more free radicals your body produces.
