Fat molecules differ biochemically in their
composition. There are different types of fats :saturated, unsaturated,
or polyunsaturated. The more saturated the fat, the more it is likely to
remain in the body and clog the arteries, adding to the risk of heart
disease.
In addition to other
factors, diets high in saturated fat tend to raise the cholesterol level
of the blood. Therefore, health experts recommend that about two-thirds
of your fat intake be polyunsaturated fats.
